Why inline script is bad?
Inline scripting is bad and should be avoided because it makes the code more difficult to read. Code that is difficult to read is difficult to maintain. If you can’t easily read it and understand what’s going on, you won’t be able to easily spot bugs.
Can we write PHP code in JS file?
PHP and JS are not compatible; you may not simply include a PHP function in JS. What you probably want to do is to issue an AJAX Request from JavaScript and send a JSON response using PHP.
Is it safe to use unsafe inline?
When is it ok to use unsafe-inline? It is only ok to use unsafe-inline when it is combined with the strict-dynamic directive. On browsers that support strict-dynamic (CSP Level 3+), the unsafe-inline is ignored, and provides a route to backwards compatibility on browsers that support CSP Level 2 or lower.
How can I write HTML in PHP?
As you can see, you can use any HTML you want without doing anything special or extra in your PHP file, as long as it’s outside and separate from the PHP tags. In other words, if you want to insert PHP code into an HTML file, just write the PHP anywhere you want (so long as they’re inside the PHP tags).
Does PHP load first?
So in answer to your question, the process starts with a request (URL), then the PHP script runs (and dies), a response is returned to the browser (HTML) which is processed by the browser (rendered) and only then is JavaScript code executed.
Does PHP execute in order?
When PHP reads a file, it compiles it to bytecode (compile time), then executes it (execution time / runtime). Unconditional function declarations are read at compile time, so that functions are already known when your code is executed.
Is it considered bad practice to have PHP in your JavaScript?
If the ID required in your JavaScript is dynamic there is no other way to do this. Some people would argue that it’s bad practice. Not because it’s PHP inside JS, but because it’s inline JS and so won’t be cached by the browser for ease of loading the next time.
Can you put PHP code in a JavaScript file?
If you put your JavaScript code in the PHP file, you can, but not otherwise. For example: PHP has to be parsed on the server. JavaScript is working in the client’s browser. Having PHP code in a .js file will not work, except you can tell the server to parse the file you want to have as .js before it sends it to the client.
Where does PHP run on the client side?
PHP runs on the server side and Javascript is running on the client side. The process is that PHP generates the Javascript that will be executed on the client side. You should be able to check the JS that is generated just looking at the code. Of course, if the JS relies on some PHP variables, they need to be instanciated before the JS is output.
Why is H interpreted as a variable in PHP?
In your second example, you are missing quotes around the string (so H is interpreted as a variable – which you didn’t set). PHP runs on the server side and Javascript is running on the client side. The process is that PHP generates the Javascript that will be executed on the client side.
