What is ROA and SOA?
A Record of Advice (ROA) performs similar functionality to a Statement of Advice (SOA). Record of Advice is a simple document you can provide to an existing client, confirming that the advice has been provided and implemented from the Statement of Advice.

In either instance, the details of the advice must be recorded in writing using either the RoA file note or RoA letter template and placed on the client file. For all other situations, including where a client disagrees with your hold recommendation, you must provide the RoA to the client in writing.
