Does correlation always signify a causal relationship between two variables?
Correlation always does not signify cause and effect relationship between the two variables. As Correlation is a statistical measure that describes the size and direction of a relationship between two or more variables. This is also referred to as cause and effect.
Causation explicitly applies to cases where action A causes outcome B. On the other hand, correlation is simply a relationship. Action A relates to Action B—but one event doesn’t necessarily cause the other event to happen.
Can a causal relationship be bidirectional?
Bidirectional causation is when two things cause each other. For example, if you want to preserve the grasslands you might assume you need less elephants who eat the grass. However, the elephants feed the grass with manure and play a role in the ecosystem such that more elephants creates more grass and vice versa.
