What is Alpha in Render?
In computer graphics, alpha compositing or alpha blending is the process of combining one image with a background to create the appearance of partial or full transparency. Compositing is used extensively in film when combining computer-rendered image elements with live footage.
What is alpha matte in AE?
THE ALPHA TRACK MATTES IN AFTER EFFECTS. When you choose the Alpha Matte option, you’re asking After Effects to use the alpha channel of the layer above as a mask for the layer below — and it will use any pixel above 0% opacity as the mask.
