Can you extract a program from the EV3 brick?
There is a tool at http://ev3treevis.azurewebsites.net/ that can be use to create a new .ev3 file from a .rbf file recovered from an EV3 brick. Some information will be lost, but at least simple programs should be able to be recovered. You can extract the compiled program from the EV3.
Can you transfer RBF files to a brick?
I had transferred my first RBF file to the Brick without using LabVIEW. It worked fine to start the RBF on the Brick using the memory browser. The program generated a log file that for some reason didn’t show up in the memory browser on the Brick, but when listing files remotely it did show up.
Where to find ev3basic folder in EV3 explorer?

Check the box in the lower right-hand corner. If it says “EV3 Firmware Update,” click on the Available Brick tab and switch to “EV3”. The EV3 Software will not launch after it is installed, but instead gives an error message.
Why does EV3 explorer not work with small basic?
The most common reason for this is that a program such as ‘port view’ or a settings dialog such as a WiFi dialog is open on the brick. In this case EV3 Basic programs cannot be run from either Small Basic or EV3 Explorer.
Why is my LEGO EV3 brick not working?
