Is EV3 NXT compatible?
Compatibility. All NXT sensors, motors, and building elements work with EV3 and are recognized as NXT sensors/motors when plugged in. EV3 sensors do not work with the NXT, but EV3 motors do. The NXT brick can be programmed with the EV3 software, but lacks some software features.

How many colors can the EV3 Color Sensor can detect?

The digital EV3 Color Sensor distinguishes between seven different colors and can also detect the absence of color. It also serves as a light sensor by detecting light intensities.
What kind of device can be interfaced with NXT?
So pretty much any robotics/hobbyist device that uses one of these methods can be interfaced with the NXT. See the NXT Hardware Developer Kit for technical details and specifications. Note that in order to use many of these devices you’ll have to use a 3rd-party firmware solution as well, such as NXC or LeJOS.
Can You Trust a third party charger cable?
You can trust a third-party cable for charging your iOS device, but there’s a caveat. Charging your iOS device with a non-Apple brand cable can damage it. That said, if the cable is labeled “Made for iPhone/iPad/iPod”, and is from a trusted company, then you’re safe.
Can a third party Charger work with iOS 6?
Yes and no. Some manufacturers claim to have bypassed the chip and built connectors that work with Apple devices. That may have worked with iOS 6, but with the arrival of iOS 7, users receive warnings whenever such uncertified connectors are used.
Are there any third party sensors for EV3?
There’s lots of third party SENSORS to attach (see very helpful list from Philo), but I found it hard to find any info on third party MOTORS to connect to EV3. Pretty much only the mindsensors.com extensions to connect RC servos and position encoding adapters to slap on power function lego motors.
