How do people identify people?
One can identify people by their voice, their name, and other cues such as body habitus, personal belongings, handwriting, gait and body motion (Ardila, 1993; Bruyer, 1990).
Can we recognize people based on their body alone the roles of body motion and whole person context?
Person recognition can be performed based on the body alone. Body-based person recognition occurs in dynamic but not static stimuli. Whole person context may also enhance body-based person recognition. Body-based person recognition is challenging but doable under certain circumstances.
