What is the T value in ANOVA?
In T-test, we measure how far is “the difference between two means” from “the null value”. While in ANOVA, we measure the difference (variability) between the groups. In F, we don’t compare two groups, and there isn’t a single population parameter or point estimate that we can identify.
Can you use t test after ANOVA?
Testing multiple hypotheses at once creates a dilemma that cannot be escaped. If you do not make any corrections for multiple comparisons, it becomes ‘too easy’ to find ‘significant’ findings by chance — it is too easy to make a Type I error.
