What is the purpose of Mendeley?

What’s happening with Mendeley?
Your Mendeley Web Library is changing to the new Mendeley Reference Manager. Get ready for a new and improved reference management experience. As part of our plans to help researchers manage their references more efficiently, all Mendeley Web Libraries have migrated to the new Mendeley Reference Manager.
Is mendeley safe to use?
I don’t love anything about this platform, it’s fine, quick, safe and easy to use in my opinion. You always need internet access to use Mendeley on the phone, which is the only negative thing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Is mendeley private?
Mendeley users with a free account can create and own a single private group. There’s no limit on the number of private groups free users can join, however each private group created by a free account can only have a maximum of three members.
Is mendeley paid?
Mendeley is a free citation and paper management tool up with up to 2 GB of cloud storage. Mendeley has a desktop application, mobile app, and Chrome browser extension, making it easy to use across multiple devices. Mendeley has a strong web platform and user support, and it has easy guides to assist you.
Is Mendeley going away?
On 15 March 2021, Mendeley will discontinue its mobile app. The app will no longer be available for download via the App Store and Google Play, and it will no longer be possible to access your Mendeley library via the app.
Why is Mendeley getting rid of the app?
In line with our continued aim to support researchers as effectively as we can, discontinuing the mobile app will mean we can focus on the solutions that the majority of our users tell us they value most. This includes making improvements to Mendeley Reference Manager, Mendeley Cite and Mendeley Web Importer.
Is my Mendeley library private?
Private: Not visible to the public. Share references and documents with other Mendeley users who you invite to the group. Only group members can view and edit the references. Free version of Mendeley limits users to 1 private group of up to 3 members, and 100 MB of shared web space.
