“Special” Label Stickers are a great way to drive sales for specific products in a retail environment. These brightly colored, yellow Special labels catch the customer’s eye and encourage them to take advantage of a special price on a particular product.
What is label of a product?
Product labels are any piece of material attached to a product to identify it, or to a container to identify its contents. Information that is directly written on a product can also be considered a label. These labels can come in a variety of textures and finishes.
What is an example of product label?
Product labelling is a part of the packaging of a product. Example – A food product like Maggi noodles might have the ingredients of the product as well as the instructions on how to make the product written and illustrated on the package. These instructions are nothing else but product labelling by the brand.
What a product label should contain?
A product label usually holds certain key information that includes:
- The name of the product.
- A logo for the larger brand, if the product is part of a line.
- Units of measurement that denotes the size, quantity or weight of the item.
- A short description, or tag line.
What are the types of Labelling?

- Brand label: It plays an important role in labelling as it gives information about the brand. It can be removable or non-removable.
- Descriptive label: It specifies product usage.
- Grade label: It describes the aspect and features of the product.
Why is product labeling so important?
Ingredients: The label on a product allows the customer to know what is in the food they’re eating or the product they’re using. This allows the consumer to know how healthy, or unhealthy, the product is. It’s also important to display the ingredients for those who may be allergic to certain ingredients.
What are the six required elements of a product label?
All labels are required to have pictograms, a signal word, hazard and precautionary statements, the product identifier, and supplier identification. A sample revised HCS label, identifying the required label elements, is shown on the right.
