Is it OK to have only one subsection?
Having a section with a single subsection is usually considered bad style: most style guides, academic or not, advise against it. In particular, the Chicago Manual of Style advises against it.
What is after a subsection?
Inserted provisions are usually quite easy to identify. They will most often have a capital A, B, and so on after the section or subsection (or paragraph) number (for example, “section 5A”, or “subparagraph (ivD)”, or other similar expressions).

What is the difference between subsection and clause?
A sub-section is a part of a section, whereas a clause maybe a part of either a section or a sub-section. Whereas, when these parts are independent of each other and are not interrelated then these are referred to as clauses.
Is there a gap between section and subsection?
It’s good enough. But in next example: there is big gap between section and subsection. Like Bernard said in the comment, to get your sections and texts get stuck to each other without unnecessary whitespaces, you need to add something like this: Change values according to your needs.
When does a section start with a clause?
If the section starts with some wording i.e if something is written at the start of a section and which is followed by.. 1… 2…. 3.. then it will be “clause”.
