Why are my contributions not showing up on my profile?
Your local Git commit email isn’t connected to your account The email address in the From: field is the address that was set in the local git config settings. If you use such an email for your commits, the commits will not be linked to your GitHub profile and will not show up in your contributions graph.
What counts as a contribution?

2 Answers. This is not possible by definition. A commit that someone else hasn’t pushed is local to their machine. The only way to see unpushed commits would be to log into whatever machine they are working on, and cd into their working directory if they’re willing to let you do that.
