Is Intel WiFi 6 AX200 wireless?
Intel has quietly launched its first Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless network adapter, codenamed Cyclone Peak. The Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 is a CNVi WLAN card that supports 802.11ax via 2×2 MU-MIMO antennas over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. And never found too far from a Wi-Fi card, Intel’s AX200 also supports Bluetooth 5.0.

Does WiFi 6 work with Linux?
The Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 adapter introduces 802.11ax (WiFi 6) support for faster performance and lower latencies. In fact, back in January we wrote about Linux support for these new Intel adapters within the “IWLWIFI” driver and that enablement is now present in the Linux 5.1 kernel.

Is the AX201 wifi adapter supported in Ubuntu 18.04?
AX201 WiFi adapter is not supported by latest Ubuntu 18.04 version, because Ubuntu 18.04 comes with Linux Kernel 5.0, whereas support for AX201 comes built-in in Linux Kernel 5.2+. Canonical claims that Ubuntu 18.04 will get Linux Kernel 5.3 sometime next year. However, I wont be able to wait that long.

Networking was on but it said ‘no network devices available‘. Indeed it is a common issue not only with with Broadcom network adapters but other network adapters as well in Ubuntu Linux. A relief is that Ubuntu provides additional drivers specifically for various wireless adapters.
