Procedure
- From the Choose Data Mover field, select the X-Blade on which you want to create the CIFS share.
- Type a CIFS share name.
- From File System field, select the file system.
- Check the CIFS server box to create the CIFS share on.
- In the Path field, a default path appears.
- Type a User Limit if needed.
- Click Apply.

Why are my Share permissions not set in CIFS?

You are mounting the CIFS share as root (because you used sudo ), so you cannot write as normal user.
The share is created with a default ACL set to Full Control for the Everyone group. Select the share, and then click Edit. In the Permissions tab, select the Everyone group, and then click Remove. Click Add, and then enter the name of an administrator group defined in the Windows Active Directory domain that includes the SVM.
