How do I fix installer no longer responding?
Method 1: Check Windows Installer service.
- Press Windows Key + R.
- The Services window will open, scroll down to Windows Installer and double click on it.
- The Properties window will open, on the drop down menu (Start up type) select ‘automatic’ > OK and close windows.
- Reboot PC and hopefully it will work for you.
How do you properly install software?
You can follow the steps below to install an application from an .exe file.
- Locate and download an .exe file.
- Locate and double-click the .exe file. (It will usually be in your Downloads folder.)
- A dialog box will appear. Follow the instructions to install the software.
