They are each in their own Google account. Passwords would be save in your browser, and yes, it can save passwords for multiple accounts (I do this).

What happens if I link two Gmail accounts?
Each GMAIL is a single email address. You can link them to another, but that’s still two DISTINCT addresses being controlled by one “master email”. They are still separate though and only lets you switch between them easily. You can also forward email from one to the other, but that reduces your ability to respond from one of the email addresses.
