Shared Drive files cannot be added to My Drive. If you’re using list view to display your files, you can see which ones are in Shared Drives by the little padlock icon shown on the right of the file name.
How to check the available disk space / usage
- In windows explorer, browse to the network share, then to the folder that you want to check the disk usage, right client on the folder and select properties.
- In the properties window, click on the “OES Info” tab, and check the “Space Available” field.
How can I add a shared folder to my Drive?
There is a workaround: you can use the keyboard shortcut Shift + Z and old the feature appears. You can add the shared folder to your Drive (works also in Google Sync). More info here. The problem turned out to be caused by having a situation where A and B had both been logged in in the same browser at some point in recent memory.
How can I restrict sharing of a folder?
Important: If you prevent sharing of a folder, it only applies to the folder. To turn this on for the files inside, you have to change the settings for the files inside. When someone with Editor access tries to re-share a restricted file or folder, they get an option to email you for permission to share the file.

How do I add a file to my Drive?
