What is Slackbot in Slack?
Enter Slackbot—our friendly chatbot that welcomes you into Slack, dutifully sends you reminders, and tries to answer any product questions. It lets you program Slackbot to respond in a particular way anytime a specific word or phrase is posted in Slack.
Can you rename Slackbot?

Click the arrow next to your organization name, and you’ll get a drop-down menu with Customize Slack as an option. Click Customize Slack. You’ll be taken to your browser, and see an option for Slackbot. Add your trigger words into the ‘When someone says’ box, and put the response in ‘Slackbot responds’.

Open the channel you’d like to rename. Tap the channel name at the top. Tap the channel name, then enter a new name. Tap Done.
How to disable slack’s default slackbot?
It looks like you can’t disable Slackbot for all channels, according to Slack support. But you can at least disable the channel suggestions by selecting the option of “No, Turn Them Off” under these suggestions, or go to Preferences > Advanced > Other Options and untick the option to send these occasionally.

You and your teammates can add a variety of custom responses to use in channels. When members use your chosen unique words and phrases, Slackbot will respond. If an owner or admin has enabled this option, you can add custom responses from the Customize Your Workspace page.
