What can Facebook group members see about me?
When joining a group, whether private or public, your Facebook friends might see that you’ve joined it. Some groups are secret and can’t be searched for, in which case a qualifying group member has to invite you. Leaving a group will not notify the other members.
How do I share a Facebook post to a specific group?
To share a post to a group:
- Click “Share” below your post.
- Click “Share…” in the dropdown menu.
- Select “Share in a group” and choose your group.

If the group is private, you CANNOT share the post outside the private group. If you copy link and share as suggested above, you will get a “Attachment Unavailable” message. There is NO way around this without making your group public.
