How do apps track your data?
Even without your contact info, the data your app activity generates is tracked by a device ID, a unique identifier (that is, an “identifier for advertisers,” or IDFA for short) that makes it easy for third parties to track you through other apps, services, and websites.

Data collected by third parties through smartphone apps can include anything from profile information such as age and gender to location details, including data about nearby cell phone towers or Wi-Fi routers, and information about every other app on a phone.
