The _utmb cookie expires after 30 minutes from the date, it was last refreshed. Every time a new hit is sent to google analytics, the cookie is refreshed. Because of this reason, a web session can last longer than 30 minutes even when _utmb cookie expires after 30 minutes.
However, Google Analytics cookies cannot be classified as necessary cookies. These Google Analytics cookies are stored on your users’ browsers when they land on your website.
