What is the purpose of the public_html folder?
The public_html folder is the web root for your primary domain name. This means that public_html is the folder where you put all website files which you want to appear when someone types your main domain (the one you provided when you signed up for hosting).

To use the Move functionality, click the Move link in the top navgation. A new popup will appear where you’ll want to specify the file path for your new subfolder location. Click the Move File (s) button once you have entered the name of your new subfolder. You have successfully moved your Primary Domain’s files to a new subfolder.

Website files for both domains involved may need to be moved in order for the sites to function after the rename. You will need to move files for the new primary domain into the public_html directory and files for the old main domain in a subfolder of public_html.
