What is the Ajax error?
Many pages send AJAX requests to a server. Because this relies on the cooperation of the server and the network between the client and the server, you can expect these AJAX errors: Your JavaScript program receives an error response instead of data; Your program has to wait longer than expected for the response.
What is Datatable warning?
From DataTables website: Each cell in DataTables requests data, and when DataTables tries to obtain data for a cell and is unable to do so, it will trigger a warning, telling you that data is not available where it was expected to be.
What is Data Table error?
All of the cells in a Data Table must have the same “locked” attribute. The cells must all either be “locked” or “unlocked”. Attempting to run the Data Table tool when all the cells in the table are not consistent will result in an error.
How do I force Ajax error?
If you want to manually trigger the error callback based on the value of the received data you can do so quite simple. Just change the anonymous callback for error to named function. @dallin because it allows you to not duplicate code. The server might respond with code 200 which triggers the “success” callback.

Datatables handles the ajax call and handles success and error. A 4th option I could add to the list would be to modify the datatables source code to handle the an error response myself.
