How do I change the default brightness on my MacBook Pro?
If your Mac has an ambient light sensor, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Displays, then click Display. Then select “Automatically adjust brightness.” You can also pull the brightness slider up to 100% to keep this setting intact.
