There’s been some discussion on this subreddit regarding clamshell-mode and how it may cause damage to the screen. Well, it absolutely can, and if you’re planning to do something CPU intensive for a long period of time, make sure to do so with the laptop open.

How to turn off external monitor in Windows 10?
In Windows 10 right-click on the desktop and select “Display Settings”. Where it says “Multiple Displays” select your external monitor, for me I chose “Show only on 2”. Check the box “make this my main display” for the external monitor. When you close the laptop the external screen will turn off but will come back on when you click the mouse. P.S.
