Can Zoom record a users screen?
All Zoom hosts can record locally to their computer unless this feature has been disabled by their Zoom account owner or admin. Hosts who are Licensed can also record to the Zoom cloud.
How can you tell if someone is recording your screen on Zoom?
Zoom will always notify meeting participants that a meeting is being recorded. For participants who joined audio by phone, they will hear an audio prompt when they first join the meeting if it is already being recorded or at the time that recording is started.

When you join a Zoom meeting, the host and the members do not see your computer screen. They can only see your video and hear your audio, that too only if you have turned on the Camera and Microphone. You can disable both of them and still participate in a Zoom meeting as a listener or a viewer.

Note: The Zoom mobile app only supports cloud recording. If you are in active speaker view, the recording will only display the video of the active speaker. The gallery view recording layout is not supported on the mobile app. If you are in gallery view during the meeting, the recording will still display the video of the active speaker.
