What is the difference between recent photos and my photo Stream?
The simplest way to explain the difference between your Camera Roll and Photo Stream is that your Camera Roll is where all the pictures you’ve taken with your iPhone are, whereas My Photo Stream syncs only the most recent ones, so you can access them on other devices.
You can share photos of specific people or share photos from a specific date onward. Photos will be shared automatically as they are backed up to your account. Face group filtering is not available in all countries.
Is there a way to automatically share photos?
Without sharing an Apple ID (which I don’t recommend) there’s no way to have all your photos sync to your wife’s devices automatically. But if you have Family Sharing enabled, you and your wife can not only share iTunes, App Store, and iBooks purchases while maintaining separate Apple IDs, but you will also have a shared Family album in Photos.
How many photos can I upload to my Photo Stream?
My Photo Stream automatically uploads your photos, so there’s no additional thought or action required from you. You can set it and forget it! Now that you know Photo Stream is limited to only 1,000 most recent photos, you should be smart about what you’re uploading.
How does iCloud Photos and my Photo Stream work?
You can access your collection on these devices when you sign in to iCloud with your Apple ID. iCloud Photos and My Photo Stream upload your collection to iCloud each time your device connects to the Internet and your battery is charged. iCloud will upload these file types. When you sign up for iCloud, you automatically get 5GB of free storage.
Where does my Photo Stream go on my computer?
When you turn on Photos, iCloud for Windows creates a Photos folder in File Explorer called iCloud Photos. My Photo Stream automatically downloads any new photos that you take on your iOS devices to the Downloads folder.
