What is class F airspace?
Class F Airspace is special use airspace and can be either restricted or advisory. Class F can be controlled airspace, uncontrolled airspace, or a combination of both, depending on the classification of the airspace surrounding it.
Can you fly in Class F airspace?
No recreational or exemption flights can take place within class F and those applying for an SFOC will have to show how they plan on ensuring they can operate safely given the activities taking place. CYR class F is restricted airspace. CYRs cover things like prisons, forest fire areas, airshows, and military areas.
Is class F uncontrolled airspace?
Classes A–E are referred to as controlled airspace. Classes F and G are uncontrolled airspace.
Why isn’t there a class F airspace?
It’s their own adoption of it for what we call restricted airspace. ICAO class F airspace is UNCONTROLLED by definition. It differs from class G in that advisory ATC clearances are available (with some degree of IFR/IFR separation when “possible”).
Can you fly a micro drone in Class C airspace?

Can I fly a drone in Class C airspace?

What’s the difference between Class D and E airspace?
(1): In Class D airspace, both IFR and VFR traffic are required to follow ATC clearances; however, ATC are only responsible for IFR against IFR separation. (2): In Class E airspace, ATC does not provide separation between IFR and VFR traffic; IFR traffic shares responsibility for separation from uncontrolled VFR traffic with that traffic.
Are there any class F IFR flights allowed?
Class F. IFR and VFR flights are permitted, all participating IFR flights receive an air traffic advisory service and all flights receive flight information service if requested. Class G. IFR and VFR flights are permitted and receive flight information service if requested.
