You don’t need to pay into the SAR Fund to receive SAR services. SAR teams will be there for anyone in need, so don’t delay calling 911 if you need our help; your life may depend on it.

Does the Coast Guard charge for a rescue?

How long does it take to get a SAR request?
An organisation normally has to respond to your request within one month. If you have made a number of requests or your request is complex, they may need extra time to consider your request and they can take up to an extra two months to respond.
