What is the purpose of Anhedral wing?
Dihedral is the upward angle of an aircraft’s wings, which increases lateral stability in a bank by causing the lower wing to fly at a higher angle of attack than the higher wing. What it really means is that you can fly more hands off, even in turbulence.
Why do fighter jets have small wings?
Drag and lift. A fighter aircraft needs speed, to escape if things go wrong and to catch faster aircraft. Thus, a longer wing (which creates more drag, and slows an aircraft down) would be impractical, and, as fighters are not as heavy as bombers, and thus require smaller wings, unnecessary.

Passenger airliner’s and most, if not all, civil aviation aircraft with low wing design incorporate wings with dihedral. The main desirable effect this wing configuration has is its effect on roll stability. Airplanes with dihedral, in non unusual attitudes, will naturally want to restore level flight when no roll input is given by the pilot.
