How is eager loading achieved in Entity Framework?
Eager loading is the process whereby a query for one type of entity also loads related entities as part of the query. Eager loading is achieved by the use of the Include method.
What is the difference between eager and lazy loading?
Eager loading means that the related data is loaded from the database as part of the initial query. Explicit loading means that the related data is explicitly loaded from the database at a later time. Lazy loading means that the related data is transparently loaded from the database when the navigation property is accessed.
Which is an example of eager loading in SQL?
For example, when querying students, eager-load their enrollments. The students and their enrollments will be retrieved in a single query. Let’s take a look at the following example in which all the students with their respective enrollments are retrieved from the database by using eager loading.
There are three common O/RM patterns used to load related data. Eager loading means that the related data is loaded from the database as part of the initial query. Explicit loading means that the related data is explicitly loaded from the database at a later time.
What does eager loading, lazy loading and explicit loading mean?
All three terms — Eager Loading, Lazy Loading and Explicit Loading — refer to the process of loading the related entities. They define when to load the related entities or child entities. Eager Loading helps you to load all your needed entities at once; i.e., all your child entities will be loaded at single database call.
How to eagerly load multiple entities in LINQ?
You can also use the LINQ lambda expression as a parameter in the Include method. For this, take a reference of System.Data.Entity namespace and use the lambda expression as shown below: You can also eagerly load multiple levels of related entities. The following example query eagerly loads the Student, Standard and Teacher entities:
When to use lazy, eager and pre loading in angular?
When the modules are loaded on-demand, then it is called lazy loading. It is loaded by using loadChildren property in route configuration. In lazy loading, modules are loaded asynchronously. These modules must not be imported in application module otherwise they will be eagerly loaded.
What’s the difference between eager, lazy and pre loading?
Eager loading is loading modules before application starts. Lazy loading is loading modules on demand. Preloading is loading modules in background just after application starts. In lazy loading and preloading, modules are loaded asynchronously.
