Do you need Dali data for D4i LEDs?
DiiA and Zhaga are working closely together and have developed the joint Zhaga-D4i certification program for D4i luminaires that have Zhaga sockets which can accomodate D4i control devices. The DALI Data specifications (Parts 251, 252 and 253) are mandatory for all D4i LED drivers. >> More on DALI Data
What does D4i stand for in led category?
For LED drivers and control devices, D4i is an extension of DALI-2 certification. D4i products are DALI-2 products that have a specific set of features. All D4i-certified drivers and control devices are also DALI-2 certified. Such products can optionally carry either the D4i logo or the DALI-2 logo, or both.
Why did diia introduce the D4i standard?
This was one of the major reasons why the Digital Illumination Interface Alliance (DiiA) now introduced the new D4i standard which is an extension to the DALI-2 standard. The D4i drivers incorporated in a luminaire are able to store and report a large volume of data in a standardized manner.
How are D4i drivers used in a luminaire?
The D4i drivers incorporated in a luminaire are able to store and report a large volume of data in a standardized manner. In addition, these drivers can supply external components with electric power, such as sensors and communication modules.
Why do I need a D4i LED Luminaire?
By taking care of control and power requirements, D4i makes it much easier to mount sensors and communication devices on luminaires. In addition, intelligent D4i LED drivers inside the luminaire have the capability to store and report a wide range of luminaire, energy and diagnostics data in a standardized format.
How does the Zhaga D4i intelligent luminaire work?
Power is available to both nodes, which enables plug-and-play socketed systems such as Zhaga-D4i. The intelligent luminaire has sensing capabiliites, and can report luminaire, energy and diagnostics data stored in the LED driver to the external network via the DALI bus and the wireless link.
