What is GPIO output level STM32?
GPIO output level: this means, after initialization, the pin will state in logic level high or low( output voltage 3.3V or 0V). For example, if the pin is pulled-up, the logic level 0 will be 3.3V and logic level 1 will be 0V. It is applied the other way around for pulled-down.
What is maximum output current?
The rated output current is the maximum load current that a power supply can provide at a specified ambient temperature. The maximum current is usually determined by the design, components and target load.
What is GPIO output speed?
GPIO output speed register means, as the name indicates the configuring speed register and it is only applicable when the GPIO pin is in output mode. GPIO speed register controls the slew rate or the rate at which a signal can change between low/high values (the “rise time” and “fall time”).
What does output current mean?
Output Current: The maximum current that can be supplied to the load. Load Regulation: The load regulation is how well the regulator can maintain its output with a load current change, and usually is measured in millivolts (mV) or as a maximum output voltage.
What is GPIO interface?
GPIO stands for General Purpose Input/Output. It’s a standard interface used to connect microcontrollers to other electronic devices. For example, it can be used with sensors, diodes, displays, and System-on-Chip modules.
What is GPIO slew rate?
Slew rate is the duration for an output GPIO pin to go from one level to another. Fast slew rate can generate EMI interference due to overshoot and can interfere with neighbouring pads (like SDCard and DRAM). A slow slew rate limits the frequency at which communication can happen. It is essentially a low-pass filter.
What are the different modes of the STM32 microcontroller?
Down below is a table for the different modes available in the datasheet for the STM32F103C8 microcontroller. However, other microcontrollers will have different options for the pin output speed. For example, the other microcontroller we’ll be using in this course STM32L432KC.
How does STM32 GPIO work in input mode?
STM32 GPIO Speed For Input Mode. When a GPIO pin is set to input mode, the data present on the I/O pin is sampled into the Input Data Register every APB2 clock cycle. This means the APB2 bus speed determines the input sampling speed for the GPIO pins. For Output Mode
What is the maximum negative injection current for STM32?
The maximum negative injected current is -5 mA and the minimum VIN voltage level acceptable on the GPIO is -0.3 V for TT and FT GPIO. Positive-injection current is the current induced when VIN > VDD. For STM32 devices, the maximum positive-injection current on TT and FT GPIO is defined as N/A or 0 mA.
What is the operating voltage of the STM32 F3?
Operating voltage range is 1.8 to 3.6 volt. STM32 F3 The STM32 F3-series is the second group of STM32 microcontrollers based on the ARM Cortex-M4F core. The F3 is almost pin-to-pin compatible with the STM32 F1-series.
