What is a sample clock?
Your device uses a sample clock to control the rate at which samples are acquired and generated. This sample clock sets the time interval between samples. Each tick of this clock initiates the acquisition or generation of one sample per channel. You also can connect an outside source as your clock.
Why is sampling important in signal processing?
To convert a signal from continuous time to discrete time, a process called sampling is used. The value of the signal is measured at certain intervals in time. If the signal contains high frequency components, we will need to sample at a higher rate to avoid losing information that is in the signal.
In which type of signal sampling is done?
There are three types of sampling techniques: Impulse sampling. Natural sampling. Flat Top sampling.
Which of the following ADC is more expensive to build?
Delta-Sigma ADC: It has high resolution but slow due to over sampling. Flash ADC: It is the fastest ADC but very expensive. Other: Staircase ramp, Voltage-to-Frequency, Switched capacitor, tracking, Charge balancing, and resolver.
Which of the following is fastest ADC?
Flash type ADC
Flash type ADC is fastest ADC. Flash type ADC requires no counter. For an n-bit ADC, flash type ADC requires (2n – 1) comparators. Dual slope ADC is most accurate.
What’s the difference between a sample clock and a scan clock?
A scan may consist of a sample taken on one channel or across multiple channels. The frequency of the scan clock determines the rate at which the channels are sampled. Convert Clock (NI-DAQmx) / Channel Clock (Traditional NI-DAQ)
When to use convert clock or sample clock?
When a scan occurs, the convert clock is used to switch between the channels to be sampled. This requires the frequency of the convert clock to be many times greater than that of the sample clock. The term “interchannel-delay” refers to the time between samples taken across multiple channels during a scan.
What is the purpose of a clock drawing test?
Purpose : Quick screening test for cognitive dysfunction secondary to dementia, delirium, or a range of neurological and psychiatric illnesses Content : Template for Clock Drawing Test, showing a blanck circle as a clock face.
Which is an example of an application of a clock?
Some specific application examples of clocks range anywhere from the clocks in your car to more advanced timing devices in communications equipment. A crystal oscillator can be used to produce a clock signal, which is probably the source of the confusion in some people’s minds.
