Do you really need a relay for LED light bar?
A relay is an electrical switch that lets a low current circuit control a high current circuit such as a large LED light bar. If you are using a light pod that does not have a very large amp draw, you may not need a relay switch, but if you are using a larger LED light bar, they are a must have.
How does a light bar work?
The light bar increases reliability by using long-life LEDs over delicate incandescent or sealed-beam bulbs. The LEDs are shielded in the case by rubber isolators that reduce vibrations, further improving component life.
Where do you aim when driving lights?
Auxiliary Driving Lights Measure the distance between the center of the auxiliary light and the ground. Place a horizontal mark on the wall at that height. Visual aim is made with the center of the driving beam hot spot 1.5 inches below the lamp center at 25 feet with the lamp facing straight forward.
Why do LED light bars have a relay?
Relays can be used to switch a low-current trigger to high current, switch a circuit on or off, reverse polarity, and much more. When adding LED lights, such as off-road light bars, driving/work lights, or other auxiliary lights to a vehicle, you must add a circuit to power the light adequately.

How many watts should my light bar be?
Light bars come in a variety of options. Higher quality products can have fewer watts and put off more lumens. The lowest amount of watts for a standard light bar should be around 120 watts and a good one should be in the 240-300 range.
