Is there a USB recognicion problem with ft230x?
Sometimes, it detects a USB device but the OS reports a USB hardware problem. The first time I connect the board to the computer, it looks the OS is looking for the FTDI driver, but later, it was recognized as a “Unknown USD device”… I tried with another computer, and it was the same problem… So I think the computer is OK
What are the features of the ft230x series?
The FT230X includes the complete FT-X series feature set and enables USB to be added into a system design quickly and easily over a UART interface Single chip USB to asynchronous serial data transfer interface. Entire USB protocol handled on the chip.
Is the FTDI ft230xs in ssop-16 packaging?
The FT230XS is outfitted in SSOP-16 packaging. The first incarnation of FT230X chips got a nasty bug when the chip inadvertently goes into suspend mode triggered by certain byte sequences. The FT230X releases A, B and C were affected, see FTDI Chip TN_139 Technical Note.
Is the FTDI chip TN _ 139 on the ft230x?
The FT230X releases A, B and C were affected, see FTDI Chip TN_139 Technical Note. The resistor R1 connected to CBUS3 pin is providing a workaround, keeping the chip awake. After assembling the converter run FTProg utility to configure CBUS3 pin as Keep-Awake#.
Is the ft230x USB to UART interface IC compatible?
The FT230X is a USB to UART interface IC with an optimized pin count for smaller PCB designs. It is fully compliant with USB 2.0 specification, and requires software that ranges from Windows 10, 8/8.1, 7, Vista (both are 32 and 64 bit), Mac OS-X, Linux 3.2, or greater and also with Android.
Is the ft230x compatible with the mcp2200?
– MCP2200 is 18f14k50 remarked, it’s OKAY but WITHOUT the oficial source code (I knew FT230x doesn’t have but I understand it isn’t a common microcontroller, not like the MCP2200 is a PIC). – MCP2200 only have drivers for OSX and WIN (Linux I don’t know) but FT230 have drivers for Android and Linux.
