What are types of circuit conditions?
The following conditions can exist in any given circuit: open – no current can flow. closed – current is flowing. shorted – current is flowing through a shorter path and load in the circuit is bypassed.
What is the short circuit condition?
An external short circuit condition can occur when a conductor bridges the output terminals of a Li-ion cell. Typically, test protocols define a short circuit as a low-resistance fault condition. The large current damaged the current carrying bus bars and the positive terminals of the cell cans.
