Why aren t screens circular?
The earliest CRT displays were in fact round. However, that was more due to manufacturing tradeoffs of making large glass envelopes with vacuum inside than a desire for the display area to be round. Rectangular makes more sense than round for a variety of reasons: It’s what people want to look at.

When to use an LCD instead of a NCD?
If an NCD does not specifically exclude/limit an indication or circumstance, or if the item or service is not mentioned at all in an NCD or in a Medicare manual, then an LCD may be in place to offer guidance.
Is there a way to mass produce round LCDs?
