Why do we use LUT?
The full form of LUT is Letter of Undertaking. It is a document that exporters can file to export goods or services without having to pay taxes. Under the new GST regime, all exports are subject to IGST, which can later be reclaimed via a refund against the tax paid.

How do you put LUTs on your pictures?

- Go to Photoshop and open an image.
- Go to Camera RAW Filter.
- Click the Presets icon.
- Press Alt while clicking the New Preset icon.
- Check Color Lookup Table and give your new profile a name.
- Load your LUT file (the . cube one).
- This profile will now show up in Lightroom, as well.
How do I know what LUT to use?
You should use a LUT designed for the footage you have for the style that you want. If you shot in Protune on a GoPro, get a LUT designed for Protune footage. Also, pick a LUT made to achieve the style you’re trying to achieve.

What does a LUT do to an image?
Technical LUTs – These types of LUTs are designed to transform an image from one color space / gamut to another. The end goal is to have the same image look perceptually identical on two different viewing devices.
