Newsletter blocks add an option for visitors to subscribe to a newsletter. The footer is a popular place for this block. You’ll need to choose a storage option for form submissions. You can connect Email Campaigns, a new Mailchimp audience, Google Drive, or our Zapier integration.
A newsletter can also be a great tool to build your mailing list. You can start collecting subscribers on Squarespace with a Newsletter Block, a promotional pop-up, or by adding a newsletter subscription option at checkout in your online store.
Where do Squarespace forms go?
The email option packages the submitted information into an email and delivers it to the inbox of your choice—by default, the account administrator email. Google Drive. With the Google Drive option, Squarespace takes the information collected from the Form Block and enters it into a new Google Sheet.
What is double opt in?
It’s just like single opt-in, but it includes a confirmation step where the contact receives an email and has to confirm their signup. A contact fills out your Mailchimp signup form. They receive the opt-in confirmation email, and click the link to confirm.
3. Send Out Your First Email
- Step 1: Create Campaign. On the MailChimp Dashboard head to the Campaigns Page – it’s the second option in the top menu.
- Step 2: Name Your Campaign. Give your campaign a name.
- Step 3: Choose Your Template.
- Step 4: Write Your Newsletter.
- Step 5: Send!
How do I create a mailing list on squarespace?
In the Home menu, click Commerce, then click Checkout. Scroll down to Mailing lists, and click Select a mailing list. Click Squarespace Campaigns. Select the Mailing list drop-down menu to choose a mailing list to store submissions.
Are Squarespace forms secure?
If you have a Squarespace website and are using the built-in form for your new client inquiries, you might want to consider switching to a HIPAA-secure form. Squarespace forms do meet HIPAA requirements.
Google reCAPTCHA is available on Form Blocks, Newsletter Blocks, promotional pop-ups, and product waitlists. To add Google reCAPTCHA to your forms, visit Adding Google reCAPTCHA. Another great way to prevent form spam is to select Squarespace Email Campaigns or Mailchimp as your storage option.
How do I change the font on a newsletter block?
To change the block’s appearance: While editing a page, open Site Styles, then click Fonts. Under Global Text Styles, click Assign Styles . Scroll to the Newsletter Block section and click into each option to style the different fonts.
