Are automatic headlights always on?
Automatic lights are always on whenever the switch is on ‘Auto’ in the vehicle. When set to ‘Auto,’ your headlights will automatically turn on when it gets dark, and tail lights will also be illuminated. This is enabled by an electric photo sensor installed on top of the dash or near the rearview mirror.
Why won’t my inside car lights turn on?

When do the headlights come on at night?
My 2004 Chevy Trailblazers headlights, turn on automatically at night while parked in the driveway, after about 5 to 10 minutes of the car being off, the headlights automatically come on. They do not turn off until the battery dies!
What to do if your headlights Don’t Come On?
Leave the vehicle overnight to see if the lights come on. If not – progress! Re-install the DRL and headlight relays one at a time – install, leave overnight, check to see if the lights come on.
When do headlights turn off when battery dies?
They do not turn off until the battery dies! I tried messing with the switch, and when the headlights turn on, it won’t even let you turn the lights off with the switch, after about 3 minutes it will let you turn them off. But after you go back inside for a few, they turn right back on.
