Is aviation fuel good for dirt bikes?
AvGas is suitable for certain engines, namely ones that do not contain oxygen sensors or catalytic converters. It also is alright to use in dirt bikes that are rebuilt frequently, because the build-up of lead is not a problem.

You will not need to re-time the engine, for normal racing, however some people will choose to do so.

It’s a 1978 RM250. It’s fine. Two years since the last rebuilt. But you don’t have a fuel pump so you don’t have to worry, if you did, then you drain the gas after each use and get the tank dry and then put in a little regular gas to let it sit until your next use.

It should run on 100 octane, just around town, no hard passes, and at $5/gallon, you cant beat the price for 100 octane low lead aviation fuel. My only concern is the fuel is designed to run in very thin air, so that may play a part in how it behaves on the ground.
