Why do my interior lights randomly turn on?
It seems that one or more switch may have a bad ground or a bad contact in the switch causing the courtesy light to come on while the engine is off and the key is out of the ignition with the doors shut.

When I came out in the morning and I come outside, I notice that my lights are on. When I open the door, the signal dings like my lights are on but my switch is in the off position. I have to then switch the lights on and then back off to turn them off and to turn the dinging off. I have no way to reproduce it.

Then when the temperatures started dropping, it has started happening again. I dropped the car off at CarMax to have them look at it last year. They kept it overnight (outside) but it did not happen and their only recommendation was to leave it with them until it happens which isn’t feasible for me.
