Should my track be stereo or mono?
The simple answer is, if you’re recording vocals in a booth, you should record in mono. If you’re recording more than one singer, use stereo. However, there’s a lot more to it than just this. If you’re recording yourself as a soloist, you can choose to record either in mono or stereo.

Some Mono is good. But Stereo, especially for The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Phil Spector stuff etc.. If a mono mix really gets me, I prefer that, But with the above, I always prefer the stereo, except for “Yellow Submarine (song)”. Depends on the way it was intended for release, but I prefer Mono.

That’s what stereo is — audio on the Right and the Left side. Keep in mind, duplicating a mono recording will not make it a stereo recording.
