Do speakers still need to be shielded?
Using shielded speaker wire does not produce cleaner audio signals; it can however protect the audio signal being transmitted from unwanted noise. For practical purposes you would need a really long shielded speaker run to introduce sufficient capacitance to cause any issues.
Do computer speakers need to be shielded?
No. In fact, you can stick two powerful magnets on either side of a hard drive, turn the drive on, and operate normally without errors. This has to do with the coercivity of the materials used for a hard drive’s platters, which is the measure of the material’s resistance to changes in magnetization.
Can a soundbar damage your TV?
A soundbar doesn’t damage a TV in any way, but it’s a good idea to keep other speakers a good distance from your TV so that the vibrations they make as they’re playing sound doesn’t damage your TV.
Are KRK monitors shielded?
