What is the filter problem in CS50 pset 4?
A guide to the ‘ Filter ’ problem in CS50 Week 4 (more difficult version). Goal: To write a series of functions in C that apply various image filters to bmp inputs. The grayscale function should take an image and turn it into a black and white version of the same image.
What are the arguments for the filter function?
Every function we go on to define takes three arguments: A 2D array of RGBTRIPLE s, with size equivalent to the height times the width of the image being filtered. This gives one RGBTRIPLE for each pixel in the image. This function must take an image and convert it to black and white.
What should the Blur and reflect function do in Photoshop?
The reflect function should take an image and reflect it horizontally. The blur function should take an image and turn it into a box-blurred version of the same image. The edges function should take an image and highlight the edges between objects, according to the Sobel operator.
Do you need to swap image values for reflection?
You need to swap the image values from left to right or vice versa to achieve reflection. For this you may need to create a temporary data structure which is the same as “image”. With temp, you need to store values from image, and swap them. Following is a design pattern which you can use. //Pseudo code 1.

This is a really slick code btw @Joesns The integer rows is a counter and it is set to the row number that i is on, subtracted by the number that results when the blur strength ( BLUR) is subtracted by 1 and divided by 2. Did that help?
