There is no need to specify that the call has to be at your number. Therefore, the best would be “Hey, I was trying to call you. Please call me” or “Hey, I was trying to reach you but couldn’t. Please call me.” It is correct but it sounds clumsy and not quite as a native speaker would say it.

I am having issues with Word not catching grammar errors. For instance, the first letter of every sentence should be capitalized, however when I am using Word it is not alerting me to the grammar error. It will notice spelling errors though. Is there some sort of setting somewhere that might not be turned on?
