Is it OK to get same value for precision, recall and F score?

Is it OK to get same value for precision, recall and F score?

I have implemented a logistic regression for a classification problem. I get the same value for precision, recall and F1 score. Is it ok to have the same value? I also got this problem in implementing decision trees and random forest. There also I got same value for precision, recall and F1 score.

How is recall related to precision and precision?

Recall can be interpreted as the amount of positive test samples that were actually classified as positive. A classifier that just outputs positive for every sample, regardless if it is really positive, would get a recall of 1.0 but a lower precision.

What do you mean by accuracy and recall?

I suspect that you’re measuring the micro-averages of precision, recall and accuracy for your two classes.

What’s the difference between recall and false positives?

One that has no false positives, i.e. classifies only the true positives as positive would have a precision of 1.0. So basically, the less false positives a classifier gives, the higher is its precision. Recall can be interpreted as the amount of positive test samples that were actually classified as positive.

How can confidence splitting improve recall and precision?

However, by adjusting the logic of this algorithm slightly, so that we look for high confidence regions of classification, we can significantly improve the recall and precision of the classifier’s predictions.

Are there metrics that rely on precision and recall?

Various metrics have been developed that rely on both precision and recall. For example, see F1 score. Except as otherwise noted, the content of this page is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License, and code samples are licensed under the Apache 2.0 License.

How does C0 = 0.9 improve recall level?

However, for C0=0.9 (green and purple lines) we see a steady increase in recall from at precision levels of 45% and upwards. At 80% precision and above, C0=0.9 improves recall by an absolute amount of 10%, riing to 13% at 95% precision level.
