Are OBD ports fused?
The OBD fuse usually blows for good reason, overloading the circuit. That’s because the OBD fuse is commonly shared with the cigarette lighter or 12 v socket or other consumers. Plugging in a damaged accessory like a phone charger, or using a high-consuming device such as a fan may cause the fuse to blow.
Can you split obd2?
The OBD-II port can’t be split or have a hub like USB. It’s just not designed for that sort of thing. The OBD-II system was originally designed for mechanics to connect to a car’s computer, and nothing else. Bottom line you can only use one OBD-II device at the same time.
Can you remove your OBD port?
First remove the housing by reaching behind, pinching the sides and pushing it towards the floor. Once that part is out, the piece will be dangling by the wiring harness. Now the actual port can removed from the plastic housing by pulling the harness backward out of it (i.e. up, towards your dash).
