Are secret URLs safe?
It’s not secure. For HTTP traffic your secret URL would effectively be public as soon as you use it. Without any password protection an eavesdropper listening to your network traffic could see the URL you send and then visit the same page.
What is called as dead links?
A hyperlink on a website that points to a Web page that has been deleted or moved. Also called an “orphan link,” it may also be a temporary condition if the Web server is down. Contrast with live link.
What is a safe URL?
A legitimate trust seal, “https,” a privacy policy, and contact information are all good signs that a website is safe!
What does it mean when Google says your URL is unknown?
URL is unknown to Google: This means that Google hasn’t indexed the URL either because it hasn’t seen the URL before, or because it has found it as a properly marked alternate page, but it can’t be crawled. To fix, run a live inspection, fix any issues you might see, and submit the page for indexing.
What to do if your URL is missing from Google?
To see if your URL is appearing, search for your URL on Google; if your URL is missing but this tool says it was indexed, here’s how to find out why. The “Last crawl” date in the Coverage section shows the date when the information shown here was retrieved (if the page was successfully crawled).
What does it mean when URL is not indexed on Google?
Our first step is to always perform a few spot checks of URLs flagged in the “Crawled — currently not indexed” section for indexation. It’s not uncommon to find URLs that are getting reported as excluded but turn out to be in Google’s index after all.
How to check crawled — currently not indexed url?
Find all of the redirects that have a destination URL in the “Crawled — currently not indexed” bucket. Create a static sitemap.xml of these URLs with Screaming Frog. Upload the sitemap and monitor the “Crawled — currently not indexed” report in Search Console.
